Fortunately, it's not always serious here. Humor, joy, and shared experiences are just as much a part of our culture as technical excellence. Whether it's our self-organized Christmas market with lovingly decorated stalls, summer barbecues, or team events—these are the occasions that bring us together. We laugh together, celebrate successes, and grow as a team.

We also create spaces for taking a breather and chatting in our everyday work: at the coffee machine, during a quick chat in the hallway, or over lunch together. We have lots of good things to enjoy during short breaks – from portafilter coffee, cool drinks, and fresh fruit to ice cream bars. Those who want to actively unwind will find the perfect balance with darts, billiards, or air hockey, while our puzzle station offers space for quieter moments. Birthdays are celebrated with homemade cakes, and gaming enthusiasts meet regularly for Schafkopf tournaments.

Transparent communication
The Executive Board shares updates on performance, goals, and upcoming projects at regular staff meetings.
Annual feedback meetings
Once a year, employees and supervisors discuss the past year and jointly set goals for the coming year.
At least 30 days of vacation
If December 24 or 31 falls on a working day, there is an additional day of vacation, and on Shrove Tuesday, everyone finishes work at noon.

At TOPTICA, you can organize your working day flexibly: Trust-based working hours give you the freedom for creativity and innovation, flexitime ensures flexibility in the production process, and functional time allows you to largely determine your own daily schedule.
Regular company events
We also place great importance on team building: every year, we organize several company events, including a summer party, company outing, and Christmas party.

Facts

Our smallest laser, the iBeam smart, consists of up to 70 individual parts.
Passing the probationary period does not automatically grant access to our lightsabers.
Administrative functions have the lowest number of physicists.
