Fortunately, it's not always serious here. Humor, joy, and shared experiences are just as much a part of our culture as technical excellence. Whether it's our self-organized Christmas market with lovingly decorated stalls, summer barbecues, or team events—these are the occasions that bring us together. We laugh together, celebrate successes, and grow as a team.

We also create spaces for taking a breather and chatting in our everyday work: at the coffee machine, during a quick chat in the hallway, or over lunch together. We have lots of good things to enjoy during short breaks – from portafilter coffee, cool drinks, and fresh fruit to ice cream bars. Those who want to actively unwind will find the perfect balance with darts, billiards, or air hockey, while our puzzle station offers space for quieter moments. Birthdays are celebrated with homemade cakes, and gaming enthusiasts meet regularly for Schafkopf tournaments.

US Benefits

Medical coverage
TOPTICA provides 100% employer-paid medical insurance through Excellus with a fully funded HRA for in-network expenses.
Retirement plan
Full-time employees can participate in the 401(k) plan, with company matching up to 6% after six months.
Dental coverage
Employees receive 100% employer-paid dental coverage through Excellus Dental with a $600 annual HRA.
Paid time off
Employees receive 7 sick days, 3 personal days, and accrue vacation starting at 10 days per year, increasing to 15 days after two years.
Life insurance
TOPTICA offers a basic term life policy through Unum equal to two times the employee’s salary (up to $300,000) at no cost, effective after 30 days.
Observed holidays
Employees receive 12 paid U.S. federal holidays each year.
Long-term disability insurance
Employees are covered by a Unum long-term disability policy that provides partial income if disabled, effective after 30 days.
Company shutdown
TOPTICA observes a year-end shutdown between Christmas and New Year’s.

Facts

Our smallest laser, the iBeam smart, consists of up to 70 individual parts.
Passing the probationary period does not automatically grant access to our lightsabers.
Administrative functions have the lowest number of physicists.
