Technical Sales Expert – Tunable Diode Lasers & Frequency Combs / Quantum Technologies
Become part of our Technical Sales Team and take on the role of the internal expert for tunable diode lasers, frequency combs, and quantum technologies. You will complement the sales team with your specialized expertise and make a significant contribution to successfully communicating our technologies internally and externally.

What can you expect in the role of Technical Sales Expert – Tunable Diode Lasers & Frequency Combs / Quantum Technologies?
- Technical support for sales (TOPTICA, subsidiaries, distributors)
- Co-development and maintenance of knowledge management in the areas of tunable lasers & frequency combs
- Increasing the external visibility of our technologies: white papers, success stories, webinars, and, if applicable, scientific publications
- Participation in technical training for new employees together with product management
- Involvement in market research and trend analyses
- Maintenance of demo systems, organization of loan systems for customers and partners
- Collaboration with international teams (USA, Japan, China, France) and close exchange with R&D, production, and product management
- Creative freedom for customer visits, participation in conferences, system demonstrations, or test measurements in the laboratory
Must-haves: What you’ll need for this role?
- A completed degree in optical technology, physics, or metrology
- 3–5 years of professional experience in technical applications of laser systems, or alternatively a PhD
- Enthusiasm for high-tech lasers, frequency combs, or quantum technologies
- A creative, structured, and solution-oriented way of working
- Very good communication skills in German and English, team spirit, and perseverance
- Enjoyment of scientific and technical communication (white papers, application notes, presentations)
What would be a plus in this role?
- Experience with tunable diode lasers or frequency combs in industry and/or research
- Technical expertise in quantum technologies, metrology, or precision measurements
- Experience in technical sales or customer interaction
- Presentation experience at workshops, webinars, or conferences
